A dynamic and
exciting frontman, Rob is formerly of the band
Deadline Click and he was the final piece of the
puzzle. Rob has taken many trips to Jamaica and
brings a real authentic sound to the band. You will
love his interpretations of traditional Jamaican
riddims as well as his excellent original lyrics. Rob
is a great and comfortable singer who will take you
to the islands every time.
The man who
brings the juice to the band, OJ is a master of
reggae keyboard and he brings 20+ years of experience
to the band. He is a founding member of Awareness Art
Ensemble, one of the first reggae bands on the east
coast. AAE has shared the stage with a list of reggae
artists far too long to include here. OJ has also
played with some of the finest reggae musicians from
Jamaica as well as the legendary Richmond band Razor
Posse.
The boom in
the room, Wayne has played bass in several other
reggae bands for the past decade, including Jah
Revelations and One. He is heavily influenced by the
sounds of Studio One reggae and rocksteady.
The man who
brings the rhythm on time and on fire. After trying
many drummers, we were finally blessed by the
appearance of Ryan in late 2007. Ryan is a
hard-hitting young drummer with experience beyond his
years. Ryan brings fire to the band with his
excellent timing and exciting, energetic drumming. He
is one of the best reggae drummers in Richmond and
continues to improve every day.
Our guitar
player extraordinaire, Wylie is also the front man
for the amazing Antero. In Unity Sound he gets to
relax a bit as he plays guitar and sings backing
vocals. We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful
person as Wylie bringing his skills to the stage with
US.
